Aesthetic medicine outgrew the binder
Ten years ago a med spa meant facials and a little Botox. The same room now runs neurotoxins, biostimulators, energy devices, and weight-management prescribing. That is medicine — delegated to nurses, under a physician who is usually somewhere else.
The paperwork caught up the only way it could. Someone spent a hard month writing protocols, the medical director signed them, and they went into a binder. That binder was accurate for about a week.
